Control System Upgrades

Eitel Presses upgraded the machine controls of two older straighteners for a large American automobile manufacturer and doubled the machines productions for less than half of the cost of a new machine. The controls upgrade also improved the machines capabilities in the areas of machine diagnostics and statistical process control making it easier to identify and resolve machine and process problems. Finally, simplification of the operator interface makes training of operators and running the machine easier.

Manual Press to Semi-Automatic Press Upgrade

Eitel has developed a retrofit package which will allow users of Eitel's robust line of manual straighteners to add the quality advantages on an automatic straightener at a reasonable cost. The retrofit includes all the necessary mechanical and electrical hardware necessary to convert an Eitel Model RP into a semi-automatic Model SRP. The machine is controlled by an Allen Bradley SLC-5/04 and comes complete with a Panelmate Touchscreen for operator interface. It is strongly recommended that this work is performed in Orwigsburg, PA by Eitel's skilled technicians. Read more about the SRP and the ARP.
